Simply introduce the difference between soft-pack lithium battery and aluminum-shell battery
The difference between soft pack lithium battery and aluminum shell battery is mainly reflected in the performance, use field and manufacturing cost.
In terms of performance, there are no technical barriers in the industry, and there are still many technical problems to be solved, especially in the battery circulation expansion indicators, most core factories have not solved this problem. The manufacturing of aluminum shell batteries is more automated than that of soft-pack lithium batteries, therefore, it reduces the impact of human factors to a certain extent on product consistency, while saving labor costs.
In terms of the use field, in the areas with a high level of consumption, such as Europe and the United States, the use of soft pack lithium batteries has an advantage. In most developing countries, such as India and the Middle East, aluminum shell batteries have obvious advantages. The overlap in the application field is reflected in the high-end smartphone market with the largest number of applications. The soft pack lithium battery represented by Apple and the aluminum shell battery represented by Samsung, the two account for basically half each. Among them, Samsung phones generally use large 4.8 inches, with an average battery capacity of about 2,700 mAh,, while Apple phones ' average battery capacity is about 1,700 mAh.
In terms of manufacturing cost, aluminum shell battery materials have been fully localized, and aluminum plastic film materials for soft pack lithium batteries still need to be imported, and the technical requirements of aluminum shell batteries are lower than those of soft pack lithium batteries. Therefore, under the same capacity, the overall material cost of aluminum shell battery is about 10% lower than that of soft pack lithium battery. In addition, the finished product processing is simple, reliable and has obvious cost advantages.
