What are the charging methods for polymer lithium batteries?

The charging current and charging voltage of polymer lithium-ion batteries must not exceed the following standards. If the specified values are exceeded, it may cause damage to the charge and discharge performance, mechanical properties and safety of the battery core, and may cause heat generation and leakage.

The polymer lithium-ion battery charger must be capable of constant current and constant voltage charging;

The charging current of a single battery during charging must be below 1C5A;

The temperature range during charging is 0~+45℃;

The voltage cannot exceed 4.23V when charging.

The charging and discharging of polymer lithium-ion batteries and liquid lithium-ion batteries are actually the same. There are two main methods: constant voltage charging and constant current charging, and the two can also be interleaved. In constant current charging, the capacity of the lithium-ion battery increases over time, the internal resistance of the battery also increases, and charging becomes slower. At this time, we should not think that charging is complete. It will take a period of slow charging.

When general polymer lithium-ion battery manufacturers charge the battery, they first use constant current to charge, and then use constant voltage current to charge. The current, voltage and power of the mobile phone all change with time, which ensures that the battery of the mobile phone can be fully charged quickly.
