Main Points And Methods Of Daily Maintenance And Repair Of Power Lithium Batteries

Apr 14, 2021

For those who don’t know much about power lithium batteries, they don’t pay attention to them in daily use, especially now that electric vehicles are popular and rapidly developing. It is very good to learn the essentials and methods of daily maintenance and repair of power lithium batteries. Extending the service life of the battery is also a good way to reduce economic loss. Here are some key points and methods for daily maintenance and repair of power lithium batteries. I hope I can help you.

Power lithium battery

1. Check the positive and negative terminal screws to determine if there is any looseness;

Wear insulating gloves and hold the insulating rubber sleeve of the power cord and shake it gently. When checking the high voltage parts such as the positive and negative screws of the battery, please wear insulating gloves to prevent electric shock. At the same time, do not use too much force.

2. Check whether there is a fault alarm

Check the fault code on the display screen of the car, and deal with it in time if there is a fault code, and do not let the vehicle work with illness.

3. Check whether the total voltage is normal

If the total voltage is too low, use a charger to charge the whole vehicle.

4. Check battery pack information

Enter the battery management on the display screen on the car, and check whether the battery voltage, temperature, current, and SOC information are normal in the management interface and record it.

5. Check the positive and negative terminal screws to determine if there is any looseness

Wear insulating gloves, hold the insulating rubber sleeve of the power cord and shake it gently. When checking the high voltage parts such as the positive and negative screws of the battery, please wear insulating gloves to prevent electric shock, and do not use too much force.

6. Whether the battery is leaking

Use the positive pole of the multimeter test lead to place the positive pole of the battery on the positive pole, the negative pole and the whole vehicle. Check the voltage, which should generally be less than 5v. Pay attention to the selection of the voltmeter range. Try to choose a large range as much as possible. Be careful not to make contact with the positive and negative poles of the battery. Direct contact with the positive and negative electrodes of the battery.

7. Whether the positive and negative power lines are deformed due to large currents

Open the battery compartment cover for observation, do not pull the power cord forcefully with your hands.

8. Whether the battery box fan can work normally

When the temperature of the cabinet exceeds the set upper limit (45°C), put your hand on the fan opening to feel whether there is wind blowing, and do not put your fingers into the vent to check whether the fan is rotating.

9. Check the tightness of the screws of the battery box fixing bracket

Wear insulating gloves and shake the fixing screws to see if they are loose. Each screw has a gasket. If it is missing, please install it to prevent water from entering the hole;

10. Check whether the management system is normal

Check whether the voltage detection of the management system is accurate (check whether the voltage value on the display screen is consistent with the actual measured voltage value), whether the current measured by the clamp meter is consistent, check whether there is a fault, whether the communication is normal, etc. When measuring voltage, you can directly measure the head of the collection line, that is, you cannot measure current when the vehicle is in dynamic conditions (dangerous).

11. Check whether the wiring harness is in good condition

Visually check the power line and communication line for disconnection, damage, or aging. Do not pull the wiring harness to avoid breaking. Wear insulating gloves when inspecting the power line.

12. Check whether the relay is normal

Press the relay control switch, there will be a "ticking" sound when opening and closing normally, do not press the relay control switch frequently to avoid burning the relay.

13. Check battery pack information

Enter the battery management interface on the vehicle display screen to check whether the battery voltage, temperature, and current information is normal. If a battery failure such as voltage, temperature, and current is found, it must be dealt with in time to prevent the vehicle from working with illness.

14. Check whether the high pressure and waterproof markings are intact

Open the battery compartment cover and check that there is a high-voltage and waterproof label on the front of the battery box. If there is no record, please fill it up in time.

15. Check whether the auxiliary power generation is normal

Enter the management interface to turn on the auxiliary power generation to see if there is current charging the battery pack. Non-professionals cannot enter the operation, and it is not allowed to charge the battery pack privately.

16. Check whether the cruise and feedback are normal
